Test cutting wood

Test cutting wood

We began to start cutting the top piece of wood, since we started on the side pieces on monday. Test cutting and trying different a bigger hole size to determine whether or not a big water bottle will fit through. The size of the diameter of the hole inside the bin is approximately 120mm, so a lot of things will be a tight fit.

Patrick is currently working on the code as Elil and I are working out the size of the box.

This piece of wood was essentially going to be a prototype if we wanted the hole to be bigger and prevent spillage onto the box, but we are ideally going to make a hole smaller than the actual sized hole (100mm).

Also (in the first pic) sanding the edges around the circle so nobody will get any splinters and to just smoothen it. We will do the same with the final measurements and artefacts either tomorrow or next week.
